On Friday, November 21, 2025, we turned Happylab into a big stage for more than 30 creative projects from our maker community and hosted the Makers’ Lab Night 2025. And what a night it was!
Whether it was a technical experiment, a playful DIY idea, or a thoughtfully designed object – once again, our community showed just how diverse and inspiring “making” at Happylab can be. Around 100 visitors joined us to discover projects, exchange ideas, and get behind-the-scenes insights into how things were made.
With so many amazing projects on display, it’s hard to choose – but here’s a small glimpse into the colorful variety of what was showcased at Happylab that evening:
- 🎨 Design: From unique light installations (Luminous Process) to intricately crafted laser-cut vegan leather bags (Cindy Fodor) and a fashion piece inspired by childhood memories – design projects from the Happylab community highlighted the wide range of creative talent in our space.
- 🧩 Educational Projects & Kids Games: Several projects focused on creativity and playful learning, featuring lovingly crafted logic and learning games made of wood, colorful designs, and smart functionality – all tailored especially for children.
- 🛠 Model Making: From a miniature diorama featuring historic tin figures to the detailed reconstruction of a 1960s aircraft instrument panel – classic model-making had its well-deserved place at the Makers’ Lab Night.
- 🧠 Clever & Playful Hobby Projects: A mobile escape game in a suitcase, a tool-free plug-together fire pit, a muscle-powered phone charger – these fun and practical projects showed how inventive and relatable DIY can be.
- 💡 Machines & Technical Innovations: Some standout projects included a ceramic 3D printer built from a modified standard device, a patented electronic bee smoker, and Paint by Motors – a motor-powered system turning recycled plastic into marbled artworks.
- ✨ And so much more: From personalized laser-cut dog accessories (Barks&Blooms) to instrument-making and open-source energy tools – the evening was packed with surprises, hands-on creativity, and technical finesse.
Tours, Machine Highlights & Giveaway
Beyond the project exhibition, there was even more to explore: At 6:00 PM, newcomers got a guided tour through our makerspace. At 7:00 PM, we offered a focused lab tour showcasing new equipment in our machine park – including the Prusa XL with multimaterial printing, a UV printer, and a brand-new 3D scanner. To round off the evening, we raffled off a Happylab PRO membership for 2026 among all exhibitors – congrats again to the lucky winner!
Thank you to everyone who joined!
A huge thank you to all exhibitors, guests, and supporters who helped make this event one of the highlights of our year 2025. Your projects – and your willingness to share your process – are what make Happylab such a vibrant place to tinker, collaborate, and grow.
We’re already looking forward to the next Makers’ Lab Night!
